Each year the UK hosts 14 Regional Selection Forums in venues across the UK including the Foreign Office, the Welsh National Assembly and various city and county councils.

Students are invited to debate a range of contemporary European issues taking in some continents most pressing cultural, political, economic and international concerns. From the new terrorist threat to the role of arts projects in rebuilding communities, the EYP gives young people the opportunity to propose solutions and engage in dialogues across barriers.

Each forum attracts a range of schools from the area, as well as representatives of national government, MEPs and our other institutional partners. One school is selected to represent the region in the National Session where delegations are selected to represent the UK at international level. This is an opportunity for a team of students from year 12 to meet others from your region in the one day event, and debate current European and global issues. It offers a team of your students the chance to develop their skills of democratic participation as well as building on their other skills.
